Have you heard “It takes money to make money”?  Having large sums of money allows people, families and companies to accumulate vast wealth.  When money makes money, it’s called “Capital Gains”  So, the elite wealthy who make their money by investing money have bought legislation that taxes their gains at a low rate.  But now, they want it even lower.

Pennies for Peons

Do YOU work for a living?  Then you are going to end up paying for Republican’s wars and tax holidays for the uber-rich, who are the biggest beneficiaries of the Trump plan.

Ronald Reagan ran the national debt so high that the economy suffered from 1983 to at least 1995!

Examine the recent historical evidence.

1980-1992 Republicans cut taxes and left the economy in a shambles, national debt soaring after starting an expensive war.

1992-1999 Democrats balance tax hikes with welfare reform. Economy booms for seven years straight.

2000-2008 Republicans start two expensive wars, pass unfunded programs and wreck the economy, culminating with the Bush Depression.

2009-2016 Democrats save America from bankruptcy and despite strong Republican opposition, kick start the economy again and restore the national wealth. Unfortunately, he could not end the wars started by the Republicans and the military budgets are bleeding year after year while we try to force American values on the middle east.

The worst thing is, the people who end up paying for Trump’s gift to the rich are the same people who voted for him.  If you work and get a paycheck, you will end up paying for the costs of the wars and the whole government, while Trump and his corrupt cronies enjoy a tax-cut.

The BIG Lies

Trump is the master of deflection and misdirection.  Like a stage magician he makes you look at his right hand while his left hand is up to sneaky tricks!  More like a street pick-pocket, actually… watch your wallet!

• Gerrymandered congressional districts.
• Minority voter suppression.
• Fake news to sway public opinion.
• False flag operations to compromise opponents.
• Hiring thugs to infiltrate peaceful protests.
• Smearing opponents and their families.

Beware your own preconceptions. Propagandists play to our prejudices and we want to believe our preconceptions rather than examine the truth. On all sides, we are prone to self deception because we want our wishes to be fact.

It has always been more easy to placate the masses than to give the people a real understanding of the real issues facing America.

Do not believe gossip and hearsay. Trust American news sources, and avoid foreign owned stations and web sites. Think for yourself.

The  Russian-selected Trump has demonstrated utter incompetence in his first hundred days.  He has acted like a crybaby when he doesn’t get his way.  He boasts and makes slogans and promises plans, yet he accomplishes nothing to benefit America.  He has appointed unqualified people to run major agencies.  He is unprotecting Americans from many hazards that will, in time, cost us all far more than the money saved.  He is leaving the poor and the indigent out in the cold.  He is going to let the elderly starve, including Vietnam veterans.  He has no idea what diplomacy is about and America’s esteem in the world is rapidly plummeting to levels unseen since the Bush fiasco ended with America’s failed economy dragging the whole world into the Bush Depression.

Trump is a bully who, because of the silver spoon he was born with, has always gotten his way.  He has a temper but not much wit.  He is penny smart, but pound foolish.

One Hundred Days

His White House is a nest of Russian operatives and corporate thieves!  Yes, the very people who stole your home value, your retirement savings, your investments… he made them in charge of the economy.  He has placed a paranoid, woman hating, bigot as the leader of the Justice Dept.  He has made a political crony into the head of the Department of Education, a field she is perfectly ignorant about.  He has broken treaties, unsettled our allies and offended world leaders.  He brags of his accomplishments and points to empty gestures and incoherent policy shifts as if they were something to be proud of.

In short, he had shown us all that he is incapable of governing at all, much less govern well.  He has shown contempt for the workers and the middle class.  If you get a paycheck, he is crapping on you in the long run.  Unless you are a very rich person, his changes to the economy will mean you pay more for less quality and your neighbors are relatives will be poor and needy, and you will be too.

One Hundred Days

Every penny he diverts from paying our critical services and programs is going to cost us much more down the line.  Every penny he gives back to the wealthy elite class will have to be ultimately made up by taxes on the middle class.  You will pay for his parties, his golf excursions, and all the other wastes of tax dollars he is charging to your bill daily!

Hey, Republicans:  you are all accessories to these crimes.  The people are watching, and we will remember to vote out the traitors who stole from the poor and gave to the rich.

Patriots pay their taxes.  Scofflaw billionaires pay little or no taxes.  The fat cats should have to go live where their money is.  I am sure the Cayman Isles, Bermuda and Singapore are all great places to live.

One Hundred Days

It’s going to be a rough ride, folks.  Get your friends and family to register and make them vote, every election.  It’s the American way.  When we, the middle class get lazy and neglect to vote, the loonies get to pick our leaders!

Register.  Vote.  Take friends to register and take a family trip on voting day!

And vote like your lives depend on it… they do.

America needs to follow the “middle path”. America was founded on a spirit of friendly compromise.  Most of our great achievements came about because of two sides with competing interests reaching a true middle-of-the-road consensus.

For America to continue to succeed, we need to embrace the fact we are ONE nation, and we have one overarching interest: to show the world that government of the people, by the people and for the people should become the way for the whole world.

To do this, we have to be logical and consistent. The correct path is neither the conservative nor the liberal platforms.  America needs to find the balance between profits and social justice.

A system that is all liberal will fail. A system that is all capitalism will also fail. 

America’s secret sauce is democracy arises when well-meaning people agree to compromise for the greater good.

Seek the middle path.

10. He has dismissed an Attorney General for fulfilling her oath to defend the Constitution, defying the autonomy of the Dept. of Justice.

11. He has purged the State Dept. of its highest level officials without any regard for a responsible continuity of State Affairs.

12. He has enlisted amateur ideologues – such as the white supremacist Stephen L. Bannon – to make national security decisions.

13. He has vowed to enact policy and legislation which clearly tread on the separation of church and state.

14. He has refused to remove or address conflicts of interest regarding both his own business and that of his cabinet and family.

15. He has hastily signed multiple Executive Orders without the advisement of Congress, policy experts, his cabinet or staff.

16. He has signed an Executive Order which knowingly deprives the sick of desperately needed healthcare with no concern for their lives.

17. He has signed an Executive Order permitting a pipeline that tramples on Native American Rights and endangers safe water supply.

18. He has illegally threatened to cut off funding to Sanctuary Cities which have determined their values through self-governance.

19. He has knowingly, repeatedly and egregiously misled the public, and directed his staff to do the same.

20. He has strongly advocated for the silencing and suppression of a Free Press.

21. He has repeatedly and consistently shown contempt for people based race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity and religion.

22. He has shown disdain and disregard for the judiciary, and the fundamental human rights that are the foundation of Justice.

23. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

24. We shall Resist until our Congress uses the mechanisms afforded to by the Constitution to remove this Tyrant from Power.
